They are durable, stylish and make your home adorable. For the fixing of the tiles, a special type of glue is used, which is known as tile adhesive.

Tile adhesives are based on the epoxy, polymer, cement and various others that are used for the fixing of the tiles on the floors, walls and various other places. This material does not crack or shrink due to the change in temperature and moisture.

Benefits of using tile adhesives:

There are various advantages of using tile adhesives. Some of them are given below:

Tile adhesive is very easy to use in laying the tiles.
You can instantly use them after mixing with water. Therefore they reduce your plenty of time.
It prevents the shedding of tiles.
It helps in protecting the crazing of the tiles.
Due to the optimum setting time of the tile adhesives, the tiles can be easily adjusted in a certain duration of time.
It provides full spread on the back of the tiles by using them with a notched trowel.
It reduces many problems such as water seeping break down of tiles; stain and various others.
For flooring: For the purpose of flooring, the tile adhesive used is polymer-modified cement-based adhesives. These adhesives are available in the form of powder providing more strength than normal cement-sand mortar. There are various polymers that are added for the enhancement of its properties. Such as acrylic, which is used for fixing tiles of small size; latex, which is used for exterior use; epoxy, which is used for internal and external use as they are resistant to water, oil, alkalis, and various others.
For wall cladding or fixing the tiles on walls: The tile adhesives that are used for the purpose of wall cladding have non-skid properties. By using these adhesives, along with the ceramic, vitrified tiles can be applied.
For fixing mosaics and glass: The tile adhesive for the fixing of glass and mosaics have high strength. These are used to fix tiles in submerges areas including swimming pools, bathrooms, and various others. Due to the addition of white cement, they are generally available in the white color in the form of powder.
