MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL (integral crystalline waterproofing admixture) is added to the concrete mix at the time of batching. MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL consists of Portland cement, very fine treated silica sand and various active, proprietary chemicals. These active chemicals react with the moisture in fresh concrete with the by-products of cement hydration to cause a catalytic reaction, which generates a non-soluble crystalline formatting throughout the pores and capillary tracts of the concrete. Thus, the concrete becomes permanently sealed against the penetration of water or liquids and from any deterioration due to harsh environmental conditions.

1. Simply add MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL directly to the concrete mixer during batching.
2. MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL can be added at any time during the batching process. However, it is preferable to add the batching water to the MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL and mix thoroughly for at least 10 minutes.
3. Add the balance of materials in accordance with standard batching practices.
4. Allow MCON MAGIC CRYSTAL ADMIX SPL to thoroughly mix at medium/high speed for at least 10 minutes prior to placing.
5. If used as coating, slurry may be made by admixing water (5:2 for vertical surface in 2 coats and 3:1 for horizontal surface in 1 coat).
6. When using as dry shake hydrophilic treatment, it is to be applied at a dosage of 0.5-0.6 Kg/sqm in two applications at right angles accompanied by power floating.
12 months from manufacture in original unopened bags if stored in dry conditions.
