MCON NSG 60 GG
MCON NSG 60 GG is a specially engineered, cement – based, non-shrink gun grade grout. This economical & high -performance cementitious grout offers the advantages of high compressive strengths. MCON NSG 60 GG is ideal for general purpose construction site applications where the major emphasis is on ease of application.
1. After completion of concreting work the open edges shall be cured by applying suitable MCON CURE CC or any other effective curing membrane manufactured by MCON.
2. Other curing methods, such as covering with plastic sheet, wet hessian cloth are also accepted.
1. Use mechanical mortar mixers, preferably of the slow speed (250-350 rpm) paddle mixer or revolving drum type mixer. Hand mixing rarely achieves the desired result. Allow approx 5 minutes for mixing.
2. Thorough mixing is essential for achieving maximum results. Add MCON NSG 60 slowly into recommended amount of clean water in a mixer. Use as little water as is required for ease of placement.
3. Placing conditions, including temperatures may require mixing water adjustments as may be essential for practical purposes. Small trial batches to ascertain the best working consistency for the operation are recommended.
1. Dual Expansion – Expands in plastic state as well as post initial setting.
2. Low water permeability – excellent resistance to ingress of water so can be used in Tie rod holes grouting.
3. Pre packed – Factory controlled mixing avoids onsite batch mixing variations
4. Free Flow – Ensures that the grout easily reaches in all slots of the grouting area.
5. Over Head & Underground – Can be used in below the ground applications like piling.
1. In order to prevent air voids apply mixed MCON NSG 60 from one side or corner only. MCON NSG 60 should be placed within half an hour of mixing.
2. Flowable mix may be used with low pressure cement grouting equipment or may be hand rodded into restrained sections.High points must be adequately vented to allow entrapped air to escape. Plastic mortar may be rodded into place.
3. Consistency can range from thick cream to smooth plastic.
4. For large volume of placement areas MCON NSG 60 may be pumped with a heavy duty diaphragm pump, screw or any other standard pump.
5. MCON NSG 60 shall be used in the thickness range of 20mm to 100mm in single pour. For thickness of a section is more than 100mm, 50-70 % (by weight of MCON NSG 60) 6-10mm down washed coarse graded aggregate shall be used to reduce temperature built up in the hardened grout.
1. Wear hand gloves, safety shoes and safety goggles while using and handling the product.
2. In case eyes or mouth are affected wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical treatment immediately.
12 months from the date of manufacturing when stored in un-opened, original sealed and dry condition at atemperaturerange from +5o C to 40o C
Surface Preparation
1. The substrate surface must be free from oil, grease or any loosely adherent material.
2. If the concrete surface is defective or has laitance, it must be cut back to a sound base.
3. Bolt holes and fixing pockets must be blown clean of any dirt or debris.
1. Machine and steel column foundation
2. Anchorage of bolt and steel bar
3. Base plate grouting of cold as well as hot rolling mills in steel plants.
4. Grouting of bearing pads
5. Grouting of heavy Turbines base
Description
MCON NSG 60 is a blend of Portland cement, graded fillers and chemical additives which impart controlled expansion in the plastic state whilst minimising water demand. The low water demands ensures high early strength. The graded fillers are designed to assist uniform mixing and produce a consistent free flowing grout. The product complies to ASTM C 1107 – Type A.
