1. The preparation of the concrete is of vital importance for the effective use of this product.
2. Concrete must be firm, hard and free from old coatings, concrete laitance and any contaminants which may impair adhesion.
3. The concrete must have a profiled textured surface, which can be achieved by captive shot blasting, grinding or milling. For areas, which are contaminated by oil and grease, HCA (Hot compressed air) treatment may be required. All dust and debris must be vacuumed away to leave a clean and dust free surface.
Priming is required and undertaken with MCON BOND URP / BOND APL – an acrylic primer. Apply 1 coat of primer by roller, brush or spray. Allow to become touch dry before application of MCON TOPCRETE 314
1. 6 months from manufacture in original unopened bags if stored in dry conditions.
1. MCON TOPCRETE 314 is a cementitious alkaline product. Care should be taken to avoid contact with eyes, skin, mouth and food stuff. Any splashes on the human body must be washed with plenty of water.
2. Clean all tools, equipment, hands, etc with water immediately after use. Hardened material will have to be removed using mechanical means.
1. Use Mechanical Mixer for mixing of MCON TOPCRETE 314 Charge 85-90 % of clean & potable mixing water (5 to 6 ltr per 25 kg bag) to a Mixer.
2. Start addition of powder slowly under continuous mixing. Keep mixing for2 minutes. Add balance quantity 15 – 20% of mixing water & again mix for another 2-3 minutes to form a homogeneous, free flowing, uniform & lump-free mix.
3. Mix material that can be used within 30 mins
4. Pour the mixed MCON TOPCRETE 314 material onto the prepared & primed substrate and then spread into place using appropriate tools. Rake the material to gauge the thickness as necessary and then smooth the surface with a flat trowel if required.
5. MCON TOPCRETE 314 can be applied from 2 – 15 mm in one application.
1. Walkability Allow approximately 6 hours at 23 C before foot traffic.
2. After 24 hours water base coating for curing can be applied
