MCON Damplock Damp Proof

Damplock is an exterior waterproof coating formulated with specialised polymers to offer the external concrete surface excellent water resistance properties. The elastomeric properties of this coating enhance the coverage and life of the exterior paints applied over it.

Description

How to Apply it

Previously painted surfaces should be made free of all dust and greasy and powdery material. The algae and fungal growth can be removed using a wire brush, and the surface must be cleaned with a water splash.

All loose old paint must be cleaned from the surface with a wire brush and water jet and left to dry. Apply a self-priming coat with a mixing ratio of 1:1 with water.

For horizontal surfaces, apply two coats of undiluted Damplock to achieve a forced coverage of 1 sq mtr/ltr. If paint is applied on the terrace, ensure to coat the parapet/adjoining walls to achieve optimum performance of the product.

For vertical walls, apply a self-priming coat with a mixing ratio of 1:1 with water. Apply one coat of undiluted Damplock to achieve a forced coverage of 2.5 sq mtr/ltr.

On a previously painted surface, apply one coat of Damplock to achieve a forced coverage of 3–3.5 sq. mtr/ltr. Damplock can be overcoated with any exterior paint of Mcon Rasayan.
