MCON Micro Mortar

1. Shrinkage compensation – Controlled expansion system which compensates for shrinkage and settlement in the plastic state.

1. Used for the repair and restoration of damaged RCC structures like beams, columns, slabs etc.

2. CON MICRO MORTAR is used to reinstate damaged and deteriorated concrete for structural repairs and strengthening.

1. Clean the surface and remove loose concrete, dust, oil, paint, grease, waterproof coating, etc.

2. For Cathodic Protection, apply MCON STEEL 2K or MCON STEEL ZRP over the cleaned re bars and allow it to dry before pouring of MCON MICRO MORTAR

3. Saturate the substrate with water to prevent absorption of water from the mixed material.

4. Expose fully any corroded steel in the repair are and remove all scale and corrosion deposits. Apply MCON STEEL RR for rust free bars

5. In case of a very old concrete substrate, it should be primed by applying one coat of MCON BOND EP – epoxy bonding agent. Allow the bonding agent to reach tacky condition before pouring of mix concrete.

6. Use PAN Mixer for mixing of MCON MICRO MORTAR. Charge 85-90 % of clean & potable mixing water (3.75 to 4.5ltr per 25 kg bag) to a PAN Mixer.

7. Start addition of Micro Concrete powder slowly under continuous mixing. Keep mixing for 2 minutes. Add balance quantity 15 – 20% of mixing water & again mix for another 2-3 min to form a homogeneous, free flowing, uniform & lump-free mix.

8. Pour or pump the mixed MCON MICRO MORTAR into a watertight shuttering for thickness of 20 mm to 100 mm in single pour.

9. For thickness of a section is more than 75 mm, 40-60 % (by weight of MCON MICRO MORTAR) 10mm down washed coarse graded aggregate shall be used to reduce temperature built up which may cause crack in the hardened micro concrete.

10. For large flat floor area, 50% aggregate can also be used if the thickness is 50-75mm with glass/ aluminium strip in 1.5 – 2 m box grid to avoid irregular crack development.

11. Cure the repaired concrete with water for minimum 7 days after removing the shuttering.
