MCON Steel EP

1. Surfaces must be dry, clean and free from contaminants.

2. Ensure removal of dirt, dust, oil and all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating. Free the surface from loose material, grease and oil by grit blasting or suitable mechanical methods.

3. Surface should be checked and treated in accordance with ISO 8504 prior to priming.

4. Suitable zinc primer or epoxy primer, dry & free from all surface contamination. In case of aged epoxy coating, the surface should be sufficiently roughened prior to painting.

5. For application over weathered zinc primers, ensure white rust removal by thorough water scrubbing/high pressure water cleaning.

6. A mist coat is recommended when applied over zinc rich primers.

1. Moisture content of substrate must be less than 4% as checked by a moisture meter. MCON STEEL EP as intermediate coat: Mix one batch at a time in specified ratio.

2. Mix the materials thoroughly using a slow speed (300-500 rpm) flame proof or air driven drill fitted with a mixing attachment.

3. After stirring, wait for 10 – 15 minutes in order to let entrapped air escape MCON STEEL EP as primer coat: Adjust viscosity, using only our recommended thinners (25%).

4. A thinner excess may cause sagging, so the product should always be above 15ºC (to ensure a correct viscosity).

5. Apply MCON STEEL EP on prepared surface by brush /spray. MCON STEEL EP Can be top coated with Epoxy, Polyurethane paint.

1. Wear hand gloves, safety shoes and safety goggles while using and handling the product.

2. In case eyes or mouth are affected wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical treatment immediately.

12 months from the date of manufacturing when stored in un- opened, original sealed and dry condition at a temperature range from +5^oC to 40^oC .
