MCON Steel PU
MCON STEEL PU is a two-component aliphatic polyisocyanate reticulant based coating for exterior as well as interior applications. It has excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. It has good adhesion to concrete and a variety of other metal surfaces makes it an ideal choice for anti corrosive coatings.
1. Surfaces must be dry, clean and free from contaminants
2. Ensure removal of dirt, dust, oil and all other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion of the coating. Oil and grease should be removed as per SSPC-SP1 solvent cleaning.
3. Surface should be checked and treated in accordance with ISO 8504 prior to priming.
Primed Surfaces
Suitable epoxy primer (MCON STEEL ZRP), epoxy/ polyurethane undercoat; dry & free from all surface contamination. MCON STEEL PU must be applied with the specified over-coating interval of the primer/ under-coat. In case of aged epoxy coating, the surface should be clean & sufficiently roughened prior to painting.
1. MCON STEEL PU is supplied in two packs.
2. Stir the base (Part A) and hardener (Part B) separately.
3. Mix hardener gradually into the base under continuous stirring as per the mixing ratio.
4. Once the unit has been mixed, it should be consumed within the working pot life
5. In case of part mixing (which should be avoided), close the lids of containers tightly to avoid contact with atmospheric moisture.
6. MCON STEEL PU can be applied by spray, roller or brush. Allow to cure for 3 hours before recoating.
7. After second coat allow to cure for 24 hrs

1. Wear hand gloves, safety shoes and safety goggles while using and handling the product.
2. In case eyes or mouth are affected wash with plenty of clean water and seek medical treatment immediately.
12 months from the date of manufacturing when stored in un- opened, original sealed and dry condition at a temperature range from +50C to 400C .
